Hey, do you remember me?

The memories that we made

Have you forgotten everything?

Life was always simple at school

With you by my side.

Talking and playing together

Without any inhibitions.

I still remember our first meeting

When we both were in different classes.

You came to call me for something

And we talked for the first time.

Three years passed

And finally we got into the same class

We mingled with each other

Smiling to each other’s jokes.

I never thought we’ll be friends

I never thought we’ll even talk

As I clearly remember that you were the favourite guy

And me, an ordinary girl.

I loved your company

Because of my crush on your cousin.

I loved your company

Because I could spend time with him.

I’ve never told this to you

Because I didn’t want you to know the truth.

Maybe I genuinely needed your friendship.

Maybe I was scared of losing you.

I remember a night

When I dreamt of telling you

Those three words of love

Which lovers tell to each other.

I turned it off to be silly

Of thinking that something like that could ever happen.

You were my friend and will always be

Nothing more than that.

But time proved it to be right.

But time showed that dreams come true.

That dreaded dream came into reality

Making me fall into the trance of love.

Whenever I think about it now

I regret it to the core.

I never thought that this dreamy feeling

Could cause a drift between us.

I know you never desired to hurt me.

I know you never desired to leave me.

But these lovely feelings

Can never bring back our friendship.

I miss you dear friend.

I miss your comforting smile.

I miss our crazy chats.

I miss everything wholeheartedly.

I wished for the time to roll back

So that I could never make a mistake.

Just come back my friend

I need your companionship.

Wherever I go

Whomever I meet

I give you a promise
